Given that Wednesday’s newsletter celebrated Lidey’s forthcoming book, I thought it would be a nice treat for the weekend to share her recipe for Apple, Walnut, and Honey Upside-Down Cake, which first appeared in Colu Cooks: Easy Fancy Food. I think this cake would be equally lovely as a snacking cake while sipping a mug of tea as it would be for dessert with a glass of amaro alongside.
In Lidey’s words, “an upside-down cake may sound intimidating, but this one is as easy as they come—no fancy equipment needed, just a few mixing bowls and an ovenproof skillet.” Sounds pretty good to me.
